Former Italy coach Spalletti could be named as the new Al-Nassr coach, as reported by . The Saudi club could make offer the Tuscan coach a massive financial package to lure him to Saudi and replace compatriot Pioli who is set to join Fiorentina.

Spalletti had replaced Mancini as the Italian head coach when the latter resigned following Italy's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. However, Italy failed to improve under the ex-Inter and Zenit boss and were knocked out of Euro 2024 in the round of 16 by Switzerland. Italy’s 3-0 loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying last Saturday proved to be the final straw as Spalletti was subsequently sacked as the head coach.
