Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo caught up with his "good friend" Piers Morgan during the broadcaster's trip to Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo and Arsenal fan Morgan have long been friends and this week the latter headed to the Middle East, where he twice saw the Portuguese in action. The 39-year-old admitted it was "fantastic" to catch up with Morgan and the broadcaster was equally gushing about the football icon and even sympathised with the forward for having a goal ruled out against Al-Raed.

He wrote on Instagram: "It’s always fantastic to catch up with my good friend @piersmorgan."
Morgan posted on his own page: "I ended my Saudi trip how I started it.. with the best footballer in history, my great mate @cristiano – this time, at his wonderful home in Riyadh. He challenged me to a game of Padel on his private court but I said I didn’t want to embarrass him with my elite world class athleticism… 🤣."
