Bayern's coronation was officially confirmed just a day after their dramatic 3-3 draw with Leipzig, as Xabi Alonso's outgoing champions Leverkusen could only churn out a 2-2 draw against Freiburg. The hosts raced to a 2-0 lead in the 48th minute, and even though late goals from Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah ensured they got a point from the fixture, Leverkusen did not get the win they needed to keep the title race going for another week.

With an eight-point cushion and a massive 30-goal advantage, Bayern are uncatchable at the top with two games left to play. Their dominance throughout the campaign leaves no room for dispute, and attention will now turn to celebratory traditions and honouring their champions’ status.
